FWANJ: Selfie Upgrade: Curating your Professional Appearance
How do you feel about your professional appearance? Do you feel it could use an upgrade? Did you know that over 50% of a first impression occurs in the first 5 seconds, before you even speak?
If you are unsure about your responses to these questions, you are invited to attend “SELFIE UPGRADE: Curating Your Professional Appearance” and learn the answers.
During this interactive program, sponsored by the Financial Women’s Association and The Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University, you will learn how to create a business wardrobe, on a student budget. You will specifically learn:
- what to wear in common business situations such as an interview, career fair or summer internship.
- have the opportunity to ask any question you have wondered about on the topics of interview dress and professionalism in the workplace.
- learn to avoid choices that diminish your professional appearance or give the wrong impression about you or your qualifications.
Certified Image Consultant Sharon Kornstein, and FWA member and Peach Personal Stylist Debbie Downie, will present several outfit choices for normal work situations.
Learn from our own “runway” with clothing provided by Kohl’s and modeled by Seton Hall students and FWA mentors! Come see your fellow students model the right look.
Join us from 6:30-7:00 for networking and refreshments or stay after for additional connection time.
When you leave you will be ready to upgrade your selfie image – professional style.
