This entails offerings in the industry, significant changes in processes and procedures, and how work is being and will be done.

Mr. Diana has served in various executive roles throughout his career, bringing over 30 years of leadership experience. He is currently leading efforts to define and enable the Future of Business for TCS Global Consulting. Prior to joining TCS, Mr. Diana was Executive Vice President of enherent Corp., where he led a business analytics growth initiative focused on leveraging advanced forms of analytics to deliver business outcomes. For Aelera Corporation where he served as Chief Product Officer, he managed the development of a market facing social computing and advanced analytics platform.

Mr. Diana served as CEO of Traxian, Inc., a Silicon Valley software start-up focused on the B2B enablement of small and mid-sized businesses, and as Chief Technology Officer of Fujitsu Consulting, he developed the company’s extended enterprise vision, serving as the face to the market and analyst community. He began his career at AT&T, holding various senior roles including CIO for the company’s international financial operation.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Rider College.

Jennifer Hanania is a Manager in PwC’s New Services and Emerging Technology Practice. Jennifer is also responsible for cross-sector blockchain program management efforts and has spent over two years dedicated to supporting the set-up of PwC’s blockchain practice. Jennifer has delivered on a number of client engagements related to digital transformation. These engagements include strategic assessments, product design, innovation workshops, program management, pricing strategy, prototype development, process implementation, and operating model development. Jennifer is skilled in agile delivery and frequently works with large, global technical teams. Jennifer also works frequently with PwC’s cloud alliance partners and joint business relationship partners and has driven a number of collaborative go-to-market strategies.

  • At a global credit card company, managed a product design assessment. Coordinated both business and technical workstreams to produce an assessment and an executive communication document for senior leadership.
  • At a mid-sized broker-dealer, performed a blockchain strategy assessment to deliver recommendations on vendors, technologies, partnership, and consortia.
  • At a large, global capital markets client, developed a target operating model inclusive of recommendations related to the client’s organizational structure, location strategy, and governance. 
  • At a large, global capital markets client, implemented regulatory driven process enhancements across business, operations, and technology groups.

 

Puja G. Samuel
Head of Strategic Partnerships & Growth Initiatives
New York Life Ventures

Puja is head of Strategic Partnerships & Growth Initiatives for New York Life Ventures. She is responsible for establishing a process for generating, developing, and executing ideas. Puja also acts as an innovation advisor to set and execute the Ventures’ innovation strategy and the external branding and communications strategy.

Puja has spent 15 years in financial services. She comes to New York Life Ventures from Citi Ventures where she was part of the founding team for the institution’s incubator program. Puja was responsible for designing and implementing strategic growth initiatives enterprise-wide. She oversaw and managed business ideas and problem statements, and served as the primary interface with all key internal business and functional partners. Puja also developed and executed global programs and platforms across Compliance while working for the Global Compliance Architecture group and the office of the Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to Citigroup she was at SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance Company where she reported directly to the CEO and managed the strategic and operational planning process. She has also worked for firms such as Hertz and McKinsey & Company conducting market research.

In her free time, Puja founded and leads the Women in Fintech committee for New York Life’s Women’s Initiative, serves as a mentor for Cornell Tech’s Studio Program for graduate students, and advises early stage startups on their growth strategy.

Puja earned her BS in Finance and Marketing from Fordham University and completed a fintech certification program with MIT.

Grace Vandecruze
Founder and Managing Director
Grace Global Capital

 

Grace Vandecruze is the Founder and Managing Director at Grace Global Capital LLC, a consulting firm providing financial advisory, restructuring, valuation and capital-raising services to the insurance industry and financial regulators since 2006. She was a Managing Director at Swiss Re and was responsible for the firm's regulatory advisory practice in the insurance and financial services industries. She has extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions and capital raisings, and most notably she provided expert testimony on the valuation of Conseco during the largest bankruptcy in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Swiss Re, she was a Vice President at a private equity firm specializing in the insurance industry and an Associate in the Financial Institutions Group at Merrill Lynch. She earned an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1994 and a BBA in Accounting from Pace University in 1985. Before attending The Wharton School, she was an auditor for six years in the financial services industry at Ernst & Young and Grant Thornton. She is a Certified Public Accountant.

Grace is currently a board member of Resolution Holdings Limited, Lincoln Benefit Life Insurance Company, SBLI USA and M Financial Group.

Grace is a licensed sailor and has climbed Everest Base Camp, Mount Kilimanjaro, Annapurna, and the Himalayan in Bhutan. She has been featured in two books: "Be Happy at Work, 100 Women Who Love their Jobs and Why" by Joanne Gordon and "Doing it Ourselves: Success Stories of African American Women in Business" by Donna Ballard. Grace is frequently quoted in the financial press, including The American Banker, Insurance Journal and SNL Financial. She recently was the keynote speaker at the EY Insurance Executive Forum, Mid-West Zone Conference of National Association of Insurance Commissioners, M Financial Annual Marketing Meeting and The Baker Tilly Insurance Conference.
