FWA-NJ: More Women on Boards

The New Jersey General Assembly is at the forefront of striving for gender diversity in our state’s corporate boardrooms. Join FWA NJ as we hear directly from the primary sponsor of a bill recently introduced in the legislature that would require more women on NJ-based corporate boards and from two highly accomplished women board members about their paths to and service in the board room.

While studies point to enhanced profitability for companies that have made diversity a core value, half of the population remains significantly underrepresented in the board room. Global efforts toward board diversity, tracking and indexing boards’ accountability for gender diversity, board training courses for women, and legislation are key initiatives aimed at bringing greater gender representation in the board room.  Please join FWA NJ as we hear about these efforts, learn about paths to the board room and understand how governance is enhanced with More Women on Boards.

Sally Glick, Sobel & Co. Principal for the Firm and Chief Growth Strategist, will lead this timely and informative discussion with New Jersey General Assemblywoman Nancy Pinkin, primary sponsor of the NJ legislation, Cathy Choi, President of Bulbrite and a director of a privately held company in NJ, and Judith Reinsdorf, Director of Alexion and formerly a director of Dun & Bradstreet.
